Cookie Policy

Effective date: 12 May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar storage technologies are, what AceCopilot uses them for, and how you can manage your choices. It supplements our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

For the purposes of this Policy, "cookies" includes HTTP cookies, browser-local storage (localStorage), browser session storage (sessionStorage), and similar mechanisms by which a website or application stores small amounts of data on your device.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

When you visit our website or use our desktop application, small files or data entries may be stored on your device. These files allow our servers and our application to recognise you, remember your preferences, secure your session, and provide essential features.

Some of these files are required for the Services to function at all. Others are optional and exist only to make the Services more convenient or to help us understand how they are used.

2. What we currently store on your device

The table below lists every cookie and storage entry that AceCopilot or our service providers currently set.

A note about Razorpay loading

The Razorpay checkout script is loaded on our /pricing page in the background, after the rest of the page has finished rendering. The script does not set any cookies until you actively initiate a payment by selecting a paid tier, at which point the Razorpay checkout interface opens. We treat the Razorpay script as essential for the payment functionality you have requested by visiting the pricing page.

3. What we currently do NOT store

<!-- maintainer: update this list when BL-7 lands or any analytics tool is added -->

As of the Effective date above, AceCopilot does not set any of the following on your device:

  • Analytics cookies. We do not currently use Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, PostHog, Microsoft Clarity, Plausible, or any similar analytics service.
  • Marketing or advertising cookies. We do not currently set any cookies for advertising, retargeting, or marketing purposes. We do not use the Facebook Pixel, the Google Tag Manager, the LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any similar advertising-network technology.
  • Cross-site tracking cookies. We do not embed third-party trackers (other than Clerk and Razorpay as listed above).

If we add any analytics or marketing cookie in the future, we will update this Policy, and — for cookies that are not strictly necessary — request your consent through our cookie consent banner before they are set.

4. How to manage cookies

4.1 Through our cookie consent banner

When you first visit our website, we display a cookie consent banner with two choices:

  • Accept all — you agree to the use of any optional cookies we may add in the future. (As of the Effective date, no optional cookies exist; this records your preference for when they do.)
  • Reject non-essential — only strictly necessary cookies (authentication, payment, your consent choice itself) will be set; we will not enable any optional cookies for your account.

Your choice is recorded in the acecopilot:cookie-consent:v1 entry described above. To change your choice later, click the "Cookie preferences" link in the bottom-left corner of any page (other than the AceCopilot answer panel), or clear the entry directly through your browser's developer tools.

4.2 Through your browser

You can also manage cookies directly through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view stored cookies, block all or third-party cookies, delete cookies, or configure the browser to ask you before storing any new cookie.

Note that blocking all cookies — including strictly necessary cookies — will prevent you from signing in to AceCopilot and may break other parts of the Services.

5. Third-party cookies

Some cookies on AceCopilot are set by third parties whose services are essential to AceCopilot's operation. We do not control how these third parties use the cookies they set; we recommend you also review their cookie and privacy policies:

  • Clerk — authentication. See Clerk's privacy policy at clerk.com.
  • Razorpay — payment processing. See Razorpay's privacy policy at razorpay.com.

We do not currently embed any third-party cookies beyond these two essential providers.

6. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top of this Policy indicates the date of the most recent update. Material changes — including the addition of any new cookie category or any new third-party provider that sets cookies — will trigger a new prompt through our cookie consent banner.

If you have any questions about this Policy, you can contact us at privacy@acecopilot.ai.
